Plan A Spa Visit

Spa Treatments

From Anitra Brown, your Guide to Spas
The holiday shopping season has arrived, so here are some of my favorite spa things -- most of them under $15. My best tip is to get a spa gift certificate early, then package it with some of the spa goodies I recommend below. You won't have to brave the crowds!

Buy That Spa Gift Certificate Early!
I recommend SpaFinder gift certificates because they're accepted at so many spas and don't have an expiration date. Get one early, and package it with some other spa goodies.

The World's Softest Spa Socks!
They're soft, they're fuzzy, they're the World's Softest Spa Socks -- and they're under $10. They make great stocking stuffers, especially the green "holiday sock" with red dots!

All Good Goop -- It's Organic
I'm a convert to this certified organic salve called All Good Goop. It's made from extra-virgin olive olive, beeswax and lavender essential oil. Great stocking stuffer for him or her!

My Favorite Spa CDs
I hear a lot of spa CDs, and these are some of my all-time favorites. Buy one for yourself or someone you love.

About Today: 10 Sources for Free Christmas Gifts

If you can't see this email, click here

About.com

From Jen Hubley, your About Today Editor
This year, I've actually set a Christmas budget and am attempting to stick to it. This is great for my bank account. But picking presents is a challenge, since I feel like the amount of money I spend on a gift should be equal to the esteem I have for the recipient.

10 Sources for Free Christmas Gifts
That would mean that my husband's gift would have to be 32 times more expensive than the gift I give to our building superintendent, for example. (Before you try to work out the equation, let me just say that our super's been very helpful about plumbing problems.)

10 Ways to Save Money at Christmas
This is a little crazy, because no one is going to ask you to see the receipt for their gift. And if they do, maybe you have larger problems than your holiday budget.

Free and Low-Cost Christmas Gifts
Many lower cost gifts require more thought and are therefore more valuable to the recipient. For example, my sister can pretty much just give everyone in the family pictures of her son, and we'll all act like she bought us a car.

Give Second-Hand Gifts (Without Looking Tacky)
As with everything, there's a trick to giving cheaply without looking cheap.

Veuillez m'excuser pour le problème avec les accents dans le numéro du vendredi 26 novembre. Il provenait d'un souci avec mon ordinateur, pas le vôtre, et n'avait rien à voir avec un virus ou un hacker.

Please excuse me for the problem with accents in the 26 November issue. It was due to an issue on my computer, not yours, and had nothing to do with a virus or hacker.
