About Today: How to Make Chocolate Eggs

From Jen Hubley, your About Today Editor
When I was a kid, my grandmother could do the best magic trick I'd ever seen. She'd take a bunch of raw ingredients - butter, sugar, baker's chocolate and so on - and make it into candy. This, to me, was loads better than pulling rabbits out of hats.

How to Make Double Chocolate Eggs
Look at these double chocolate eggs, for example, and tell me you'd rather have a rabbit. You wouldn't.

How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs
These are my favorites. I think vegetables should taste like chocolate peanut butter candy. I would be the healthiest person on earth.

How to Make Sugar Easter Eggs
These eggs are delicious, pretty, and they have toys inside. They're essentially edible versions of those little dioramas you used to make in school.

How to Make Coconut Easter Eggs
Sweetened coconut + cream cheese = three dozen adorable tiny white eggs.

About Cruises: Silversea Silver Spirit - New Luxury Cruise Ship

From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
The Silversea Silver Spirit was launched in December 2009, and I just completed a wonderful 14-day cruise on the ship, sailing from Santiago to Acapulco. This delightful cruise was filled with warm sunny days and calm nights at sea. It was a great escape from the winter doldrums back home and gave me an opportunity to fully explore and experience all the Silver Spirit has to offer the cruising public.

Silversea Silver Spirit - Cruise Ship Tour
With 540 passengers, the Silver Spirit is larger than the other ships in the Silversea fleet. However, the cruise line has retained the intimate feel, elegant look, and exceptional service travelers expect from Silversea ships. Those who have sailed with Silversea before should love the ship--the cruise line has kept or enhanced the "good stuff", while adding new features that will appeal to travelers who love luxury and expect the best.

Silver Spirit - Dining and Cuisine
One of the best things about larger cruise ships is the opportunity to enjoy several different dining venues and cuisines. With 540 guests, the Silver Spirit is certainly not large, but Silversea's new ship has a terrific variety of diverse dining venues. I especially loved the Hot Rock Grill. Who would have thought it could be so much fun to cook your own steak?

Silver Spirit - Interiors and Common Areas
The interiors of the Silversea Silver Spirit are done in a lovely art deco style, with many neutral colors and rich burgundy carpets. The major exception to this is the reception area, which is done in green and blues. The spaciousness of the ship is quite impressive--there's always a seat to be found and never a line.

Silver Spirit - Exteriors and Outdoor Deck Areas
The exterior of the Silver Spirit is all white, with the Silversea name emblazoned across her funnel. The mid-sized cruise ship has many quiet, comfortable seating areas, as are shown in these photos. Passengers love all the different lounge chairs on the quiet outdoor decks.

Barbecue/Smoking

From Derrick Riches, your Guide to Barbecues

Top 10 Easter Recipes
Easter is traditionally the beginning of Spring for many people and therefore the first good cookout weekend of the year. This is also a big weekend filled with ham, lamb, turkey and prime rib, so this is the perfect time to fire up your grill.

Grilling Ham - Step by Step
Many people seem challenged by cooking their Holiday Ham (or Easter, or whenever) which is ironic since Hams don't need to be cooked. What this means is that Ham is about the easiest meat to cook.

Smoking Turkey - Step by Step
Smoking turkey is an easy and fantastic way to make your holiday meal all that better. By cooking your turkey low and slow with a big dose of smoke, you get a tender, flavorful bird that people will talk about until next year.

What Barbecue Tool Do You Use the Most?
Whether grilling or smoking you need good cooking tools to cook. The accessory market for outdoor cooking is huge and it seems that a month doesn't go by that someone... Read more
